OOC : Glad to start off. =)
^_^ This is kind of embarassing. I don't have my my character sheet ready. So I just hope you'll trust me to RP within the limits of a proper genin.
Ah, last but not least -- have gun, and good luck.
P.S.: Just bear with me =)
Alright as promised, here is my techniques. I'm not sure if I did it right, but hopefully people could correct me, while I'm at it. Thanks!
-Academy/Extra Skills-
Henge no jutsu
-An illusionary jutsu that gives the user the apperance of another person or object.
Kawarimi no jutsu
-Used quickly to replace a body with a close by object. Creates confusion among opponent(s) - creating a chance to escape, or return with a larger strike. Useful for avoiding attacks, and hiding from potential enemies.
-Tech Trees-
Hidden Leaf Village Tree
Gouken-fu tree
Primary Tech Tree(s)
Ninjutsu [Marker]
Stage 1
Katon: Shoumeidan no Jutsu (Fire Element : Flare technique)
By molding chakra into the ones lungs properly, they are able to exhale a short burst of heat and flame which basically explodes from the mouth. The fire itself only lasts about a second, but it's effects is able to illuminate dark places, if only for a few seconds.
Katon: Shuriken no Jutsu
Requirements: Katon Shoumeidan
A relatively basic katon, this one uses chakra to coat a metal shuriken or a kunai with fire. It is done so that the user first throws the shuriken, then exhales from his or her mouth a small flame that ignites the chakra coated projectile. If the attack succeeds, not only will your opponent be hurt by the shuriken or kunai, but he will also suffer from burns.
Note: Only one projectile at a time.
Konoha Tsujikaze (Leaf Cyclone)
Requirements: Henge + Kawarimi
Somewhat of a cross between Henge and Kawarimi, this technique is used to distract an opponent. By gathering chakra much so like when preparing to Kawarimi, they instead draw leaves or other such foliage to them, wrapping themselves in it in what looks to be a cyclone. Then, using a slight form of Henge, they can either slip out of this technique unhindered, or make it seem that way. Through this, they are able to plan a variety of different attacks or escapes.
Secondary Tech Tree
Genjutsu [Marker]
Magen: Kokuni Arazu no jutsu (Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings technique)
An illusion technique which disguises the surroundings as something else. For instance, you can make a classroom number that actually is room 201 appear as 301.
Tertiary Tech Tree(s)
Taijutsu : Gouken-fu [marker]

BIC :
Takashi waited for his opponent to show up, as he stood in the open of the arena-type area.
He slowly closed his eyes, as he began to concentrate. His thoughts quickly racing through his training with his two grandpas, and uncle. He thought of things he'd much rather do, but it was too late now. The prelims or tournament was beginning to start, he was going to fight in front of his peers, if not a bunch of people who'll measure his progress as a genin.
His fashion was somewhat dull compared to the current fashions of Leaf Village. He wasn't really one to bother with such things, and he never really cared the way he looked or dressed. His basic attire consisted of a copy of a jounin's vest, black t-shirt, thin long sleeve shirt, and an A-shirt. The copy of the jounin's vest really was home-made, it looked more like a custom-made fisherman's jacket, but it was useful. It was black, pouches in the front for tools, and a symbol on the back. No one could mistake it for a jounin's vest because of certain material, if anything it'd look more like a fisherman's vest than a jounin's jacket. His black t-shirt was ontop of a thin long-sleeve shirt which was also the same color. He had an a-shirt under, not visible unless he took off his vest and t-shirt. He wore black, sort of baggy pants along with his apparel with regular footwear. His forehead band protector was worn on his forehead, which affected his messy hairs' angles, it made it look much more clean.
His ninja kit would be located strapped mid-thigh on his right side indicating he is right handed. 3 sticks strapped on his back, that looked like they could be connected together. Most likely a three-section staff, but one could never be sure with all the new concealment weapons out now.
His short spiked hair was messy, but somehow clean. It stood up in all different angles, as both of his different eyes reflected the scenery before him. One eye would be hazel, and the other black. The eyes have no specialness about them except their color, many people have often received an odd feeling when they looked directly into both of his eyes because of the two different colors.
He quickly opened his eyes, as his memories began sifting back. He himeslf had chosen this path after all, and he said before that all the paths he chooses, they will be paths he will never regret. He set his arms to his side, as he clenched them tight. His fist shaking a little bit due to the tightness, as he let go finger nails could be seen embedded into the palm of his hand. He finally saw the light of things. He had to prove himself here, and now -- everybody was watching. He finally came to the conclusion that he did not want to lose here, he did not want to lose in front of all his peers, and everyone else. For now he'd try his best, it is a path he chose to follow, and he couldn't stop and regret now. He readied himself mentally, as he awaited his opponent to show.

Damican came into the forest, katana dangling at his side. He was proud with the progress he had made as a swordsman, so he was ready to test himself. This battle would be his first real test of strength, and he was not going to lose.
Damican adjusted his forhead protecter as his opponent came into view. About thirty or so feet away he stopped and bowed to his opponent, "I wish you luck." Damican stated.
He moved into a fighting position and waited for his challange to come.

A figure would come into view, Takashi was pretty sure it was his opponent. He had no doubts when his opponent bid him "Good Luck"
Takashi carefully studied his opponent's movements. Certain things could be distinguished from just a walk, but he wasn't really sure about this. He continued to look carefully, for some type of opening.
He recognized the katana dangling, and definately didn't want to get into close-combat. His right hand quickly, shot down to his nin-kit, as he swiftly grabbed a couple of shurikens. He pulled out four, as he placed his arms behind him as to hide movement. The element of surprise, was the most efficient way to start off for now.
He bent over a bit, as he began to run, picking up speed. He distributed the shurikens evenly to both hands. Two each, as he threw the two in his left hand, and followed with his right. The two shurikens he threw first were carefully aimed for his opponent's shoulders, and the other two were aimed for the legs. The gap between both shurikens would most likely disable the choice of dodging, so a block would have to come into effect. He had hoped that Damican would draw his sword, as he would retaliate with a kunai.
He still had a good 10 feet before he had reached Damican, and by then the Shurikens would've either hit their mark or were blocked. His hands free now, he would ready himself with a kunai, still carefully reading his opponent.

Damican drew his Katana at the first sign of movement, watching for his opponents attack. There was mist clinging to the air, not much, but enough for anything Damican needed. The first thing he saw was his oppoenent charging to him, the next thing he knew, shuriken were flying his way. Through precise training he knocked the ones coming at his upperbody away, and stepped to the side with effectively dodging the two aimed at his legs. Damican was sure this was a feint though, done to draw him out and force him to attack.
Damican didn't know what was in store for this battle, so he decided to play it safe. Always err on the side of caution.
Damican drew some water to his hand, and started to presurise it with chakra. He then simple splashed the water onto his body.
"Mizu no Yoroi" Damican intoned, making a couple of quick seals.
Now the water spread over his body incredably quick, shimmered, and disappeared. Damican then moved his sword to a defensive posture, awaiting the next move.

He quickly did E&E (Escape and Evasion), as he flipped backwards, and jumped to the nearest branch so he could assess the situation more carefully. He wasn't very knowledgeable of other jutsus, and he even hardly knows some of the Leaf jutsus himself. He wasn't about to quit today, as he drew his kunai.
He attempted to look through the mist, and could only see shadows. He carefully examined his angle, and the area he'd hit. He tried to remember his training with his uncle.
Damn he cursed himself silently There isn't an opening, it looks like he's ready for my next attack. So this means...
..."Create an opening" he remembered his uncle say. "This way your chances of landing a successful attack becomes more possible. It's like..." than he forget the rest. A feeling of annoyance with himself for not trying hard during the academy.
An opening..., he mulled this over for a bit, as he continued to look at the sillohoette of his opponent.
Finally he decided, as jumped back to the ground.
"Silly me, I forget to introduce myself." A hand was behind his head as if he were rubbing his head in confusion, but a kunai would be concealed. His other hand gesturing, as he looked towards his foe's direction. "My name is Hayami Takashi, how about you?" He'd move closer to his opponent, as he tried to remember his taijutsu training. In hopes he would be able to read his opponent, in close-quarters, and provide a counter. He would be no less than 6 or 7 feet away from his foe, before he had stopped, his hand still behind his head waiting, if not patiently; anxiously.

As Damican performed his quick Jutsu, his opponent had fled to the trees. Damican kept his eyes on Takashi, the whole time, waiting to see what unfolded. The man then jumped from the tree's and actually announced himself. It seemed he would be serious from here on.
A worthy opponent, Damican decided. To give ones name in the middle of battle was a sign of bravery, not only a sign of bravery, but it was also issuing a direct challange. Saying this in the middle of the fight was more like provokement.
"Keitsu.. Damican." He replied.
Damican paying no attention to the mans waving hands, he looked at the body as a whole, checking for hostile movement, and other action. Quickly Damican decided to take action. He closed the very small gap between his opponent and himself, then made a crecent moon slash, from the air, to near the opponents midsection.

No time for words, he drew his kunai to meet Damican's attempt. he held the kunai with both hands to reinforce block. Damican, and his hands were both tied up, as he drew his leg back and attempted a round house towards Damican's ribs. Not powerful enough to break ribs, but good enough to break the current power struggle.
He'd pivot his foot, as Takashi side-stepped and followed through the round-house. The swift kick to the ribs/kidneys area was enough to knock him back a little, and give Takashi sometime to do something. He'd catch his balance, and his kunai would be readied for the next swing. He was still waiting for the opening.

Damican was somewhat surprised at Takashi blocking his blow with a Kunai. Damican was just trying to test his strength of course, but he didn't expect him to block his strike with ease.
He was slightly surprise by the roundhouse kick, and was just a hair to slow to block it, so he braced himself at the last moment. The kick hit him in the side, but was met by a small splash of water. Bracing himself at the last moment for the blow proved to help though, and his armor of water took the brunt of the attack, still he did suffer some pain. The kick was equally strong enough to knock him back a couple of feet, this though gave Damican time to prepair himself.
Damican shifted into Ushiro Koutai, placing his weight on his back foot and crouched slightly, his front leg extended abit further then a normal fighting stance. Damican then waited for his opponents move, anticipating what might come.

As he kicked Damican, he was shocked to not feel flesh, but water. He then spun around quickly to pick up some leaves, as to perform a hand seal. The whirl of leaves would make it hard to see what he's doing. As he used this opportunity to lunge, he was in such a low position from the fall of leaves as he lifted the leaves back up and swung his kunai straight for one of Damican's arms. He was alert, but pretty vulnerable as he was in momentum. He would hope that one of two things would happen.
1. The kunai would inflict some sort of damage on Damican.
2. His momentum would be enough to knock Damican to the ground for his next attack.
Although he tried his best to watch Damican move, he knew he'd get injured if either of these options were effective, or if he'd missed. Some may call this bravery, others would call it foolishness.
But he didn't see any other way to deliver and opening.

His opponent crouched down, he was setting himself up for defeat. The whirl of leaves distracted Damican little, he knew his opponent was going to strike.
With his weight on his back leg, Damican used it as a pivot, and turned to the right, yet he maintained his positioning for his attack.
The Kunai slid past Damican's arm, grazing it, but once again the Armor of Water protected him. It would take more then that to hurt him.
In the perfect position to strike, Damican unleashed his Vanishing point. He quickly lowered his blade to the ground, then with the years of training behind him, did such and incredabley quick rising slash, it would be apperant why this technique was called 'Vanishing point'.
"Shoushitsuten." Damican whispered, more to himself then to his opponent. This was what he had trained hard for, the instance to use the skills he'd perfected through sweat, and blood.

Takashi would let his instincts take over, as he back-flipped, putting the kunai below him. He would let Damican's attack lift him up into the air, as if it were pushing him. The strike would be powerful enough to give Takashi a good distance from Damican in the air.
As the sword would come up towards Takashi, he would be in mid-air. As he somersaulted he would place the kunai towards the ground this would ensure the blade could be stopped. Although Damican's strike would be so fierce that it'd slash into the kunai like butter, but stop mid-way. He would let go of the kunai and began doing quick hand-seals.
"Katon: Shuriken no jutsu!" as he laced a shuriken with chakra and threw it, as fire exploded from his mouth onto the shuriken lighting it into flames. The flaming shuriken would be aimed towards Damican, the flame could be a potential danger to Damican, if not avoided properly.
He'd bring his knees up to him for easy access of his ninja-kit. He reached for his 3-section staff, for his next counter. He pieced them together into a staff, as he held it in a defensive position for when he landed.

11-04-2004, 02:25 AM
Damican, not exactly prepaired for someone to deal with the lighting fast speed of the Shoushitsuten, was still able to react well. Just a quick glance after his opponent parried the blow, Damican sheathed his sword, to make hand seals of his own, but his opponent was quicker.
"Katon: Shuriken no jutsu!"
Damican had only a second to react, but he did so. He caught the shurikan with both hands, the flame extinguished in a loud hiss. Damican, decided to take another course of action.
Damican shifted into Makkou Koutai, but he wouldn't wait. Damican fed chakra into his right arm, his hand even emited a faint blue glow, barely visable, even to someone who was looking for such a thing. In a fluid motion he then grabbed the hilt of his Katana, then lunged forward in a crouched position. Utilizing the speed of the Hikenryu and the chakra in his arm, he performed Hayai Houmen, a slice performed by drawing the Katana from it's sheath at the exact right moment as he lunged by, using the chakra stored in his arm for a combination of power, and speed.

Takashi tucked his knees in and to spin forward. As he held tightly to his staff, he'd use momentum, speed, and strength to create a speed to match Damican's.
Given the advantage of being higher, his attack would be devastating. Takashi's attack was more focused on disarming Damican. Even if Takashi had the advantages, he wouldn't know how powerful the swing was itself, and swinging vertically there was a good chance Damican's speed would surpass Takashi's own. If Takashi's attack actually hit Damican would be disarmed, and be vulnerable to attack.
Unfortunately the two blows were more effective on Takashi, as he was knocked back out of the air. The hit would've done something to Damican, but Takashi was being knocked back to the ground. He fell and collided into the ground, as pain registered in his mind. He lost his staff in the process, and slowly got up. He looked towards Damican if he was injured just as bad, he didn't know.
He knew that after awhile Damican would reach his limit, but he didn't know when. He wanted to conserve so energy to create finish an opening. The battle was heating up, it was beginning to get interesting now.

Damican frowned as Takashi's body fell to the ground. Hayai Houmen worked, but not as well as Damican wanted it. He sheathed his sword, and flipped back a ways, deciding not to try to link his technique's together. He knew this battle would last some time, and would need to conserve his stamina. While not tired now, if he kept his water armor up the entire fight, he very well could be.
The water on Damican's body became visable, and shimmered abit, then it slid off his body, into a puddle on the ground. Damican smiled, this was what he wanted.
"Mizukaisou Bunshin no Jutsu" Damican intoned, while making a couple hand seals.
A watery figure came out of the ground, transperant at first but then taking on color. A few seconds later a duplicate of Damican was standing next to him. They stood ready and waiting for an attack.

Takashi was injured badly, and was shocked that Damican could get up so easily.
"What the hell are you?" he said out loud. He thought about it again, his technique was more refined and wasn't as sloppy as Takashi's counter was.
Damn, I need to take training more seriously.
At first he thought it was a kawarimi, then a henge, but it wasn't. It was something more advanced then Takashi has ever laid his eyes on. True he was weak, and he'd lose this fight if he continued to do one for all crap. He needed a diversion, then he smiled.
"Cloning technique huh? Are you stupid? None of your illusions can hurt me." Takashi was confident, this guy was going to psyche him out with a lot of clones but there was only one real one. At least this is what he thought for now.
This would be more simpler than he had imagined, but the fall had taken a lot out of him. He was slowly recovering, perhaps not fast enough. He looked for his staff, and saw it near Damican's clone. If he's just an illusion, than it wouldn't hurt me if I got my staff back...
He dashed forward, and kept low. As he tried to phaze Damican out with fancy tricks, he approached Damican's clone. He dived into a roll and got his staff back, but he was vulnerable as he passed Damican's clone, and soon Damican himself.

Damican not sure if he was being baited for a trap, decided to strike. The clone kicked the staff out of the way, a good 20 feet from where it was standing, then moved to intercept Takashi.
The clone drew it's katana, and shifted into Ushiro Koutai, then as Takashi rolled, the clone performed Shoushitsuten - Vanishing point.
Damican himself though, had his katana poised and ready. Takashi wouldn't see his next move coming.

Takashi hadn't seen this coming the slash hit him, but not as hard as before. It almost seemed a fraction of it's original's power. He definately flew, but he knew that he could create an opening, and perhaps reverse the situation.
The cut was successful, and had cut part of his shoulder but the spinning helped a bit. The cut would cause some problems, but Takashi tried to ignore the pain.
Using the foliage on the ground, he performed quick handseals for a technique. His chakra grabbed onto the leaves, as they began spinning around him. He finally was in a cyclone of leaves, that encircled his being.
"Konoha Tsujikaze!" he said clearly, and with more confidence. The whirlwind would be the main center of the show, as Takashi carefully slipped out and used the disturbance for cover. He was hiding on one of the tree branches, preparing himself for his next move.
This will determine my capabilities as a ninja... he thought solemnly. Every opponent has one weakness...what is his?

Damican was pleased with the results of Shoushitsuten, he had caused his opponent harm, and made him flee to re-asses the situation. Damican would still be on the offensive though. The great thing about focusing on Taijutsu was that his stamina was massive, and if he conserved his chakra properly, he could go on for a very long time. The clone hoped back a few feet and waited while Damican scanned the area.
The whirl of leaves threw the clone off entirely, disorentating it, for a few seconds it was completely useless. But, Damican on the other hand sitting off to the side, seen everything. He also seen the figure jump out of the whirl of leaves. Damican drew out a Shurikan, and a Kunai from his kit, and let them fly at his opponent. He would take this time to prepare for his final assult.

He was prepared now, and was going to be analytical. He leapt to a different branch letting the projectiles hit his previous spot, as he drew out his last kunai. He carefully tied it with a nearly invisible string, and made sure it was secure.
He looked at current situation, and knew that Damican had his eye on him. He didn't know whether he the advantage of Damican did. The cut still hurt, and his body was aching.
He gripped the string carefully, and held the kunai by it's handle. As he continued to survey, he positioned himself for another attack. This time he'd wait for his opponent to react, as he sat perched ontop of the branch. He carefully made sure that the string was in his hands. He did this in concealment, behind his back. One skill he was good at.
His free hand was near his ninja-kit to be ready at all costs.

Damican, seeing that his opponent was waiting for him to make the move, decided that now was when he would strike. He made a couple of hand seals and...
Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu
The chakra Damican had been preserving was used at last, four clones sprang out of the air, drawing in the mist around him. All of them charged at Takashi at the same time, sword drawn, it would be impossable to tell which was the real one, as they kept darting left and right. When they came close to Takashi, the other water clone lept into action.
They were charging straight at Takashi, six in all, with no clue of which one was the real.

He struck his kunai into the tree as hard as he could, and timed his movement. He would leap from the branch to another one where he could pull the string and straighten it out, so that when the clones jumped they would hit the string. Real or not this would determine their existence, as the last clone would probably see this happen to the other clones would most likely stop.
He had one hand holding tight to the rope, his other in his ninja kit grabbing 3 senbon needles out. He had to make these count, or it would be fist-to-sword. Something he wasn't ready to do. He looked towards the clone to see if they went through the wire, or tangled with it. It wasn't really effective in terms of defense, but it'd give him a good knowledge of where Damican was.
Good phase 1 completed...
He'd wait for Damican's next move.

11-04-2004, 08:24 PM
Damican himself had the misfortune of flying into the wire. He was at the charge of his clones, to throw the enemy off, so when he hit the wire he was surprised. His strength of the jump was easy to break the string, but the small laps in concentraction made him decided to come back down.. The clones though...
The clones took to the tree branches, then without warning they started their attack. Two took to the sky, while another two went straight forward. One stood back utop a branch, watching to see if by chance he escaped. If he did, he would be there to stop him.
All the while, Damican was on the ground smiling.

He held tight to the string, as it snapped he jerked a bit but caught his balance. His hand darted for 2 senbon needles as he threw it at two in the air. He leapt from the branch forward the two coming at him, if they are at full speed it'd take some time to notice him leaping over their heads.
He pulled out his last needle and threw it at the remaining on the branch. He then looked at the one on the same level with him. Perhaps the the real thing, as he rested clenched his fists. This was his last chance, he had to time his movement, and be precise or it'd be the end.

The clones were destoryed, bnut this was fine. Takashi was falling to the ground. Damican though, was ready and waiting for him. He moved into Makkou Koutai. Takashi was in control, at least somewhat. He wasn't expecting Damican to swing while he's mid-air. He'd try to tuck, and bring his body down. Common sense would have it that Damican would strike higher and not risk the the attack on a probability.
Takashi would fall to the ground faster, but it wasn't effective. The slash slashed and inflicted a wound on Takashi as he flew back into the tree. Damican probably felt sorry for Takashi's poor performance and granted his life, or maybe his evasive maneuver was effective.
The last thing he remembered before blacking out was Damican's figure walking towards him.

Damican came to the ground, crouched, and sheathed his sword. It was a good fight, and it tested Damican's ingenuity. But in the end, he prevailed.
