Calling all Leaf-nin! Your new mission list has arrived!

We’re going to be trying something a little different this time around. You’ll get a clearer idea of what we’re going for as things progress.

For starters, just know that many of these missions will require GM intervention. Yes, by taking these missions, you and your teammates are responsible for pushing the arc forward. Some of it could get dangerous.

Good luck.

If you’d like to claim a mission, please post your request with the names and links to the characters to be involved. Please pay close attention to the team requirements of each mission, since they tend to differ from assignment to assignment.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact your friendly, awesome, epic Leaf GM team.

Let the games begin!

----------

Mission 67
Documentation: Small fishing villages up and down the east coast have been reporting a serious decline in their business. Normally, such trends are negligible and are nothing out of the ordinary, but certain reports detail strange phenomenon occurring far out from shore. Some have even gone so far as to suggest misshapen figures heading towards shore. Head out and dispel these myths.
Repertoire: An outfit of no more than three are needed to secure the desired results of this mission. Genin are not allowed to take this mission, and at least one jounin must accompany any team that assumes it.
Details: No fixed posting order. At 10 posts (total), a Leaf GM will enter your thread to provide further details on the mission in some way/shape/form. From then on, GM participation is set at random intervals. This thread should last no longer than 40 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.

Mission 68
Documentation: The vast plains to the west have always been bountiful, to say the least. That a caravan from Yokuchi no Kagarinai has not come this month is troubling indeed. A messenger hawk has been sent ahead to the local provincial lord that handles all the supply and shipment sent to Konohagakure. We have had no reply. You and your team are to travel to the area and locate the reason for this delay and ascertain the fate of the sire.
Repertoire: A platoon of four has been designated to this mission: no more, no less. Established genin teams are preferred, as the mission itself possesses a low threat assessment.
Details: No fixed posting order. At 15 posts (total), a Leaf GM will enter your thread and provide further details on the mission in some way/shape/form. From then on, GM participation is set at random intervals. This thread should last no longer than 45 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.

Mission 69 (Claimed)
Documentation: However many times scouts are sent to Kousai, just as many never report back. A backwater town renowned for its criminal population, it was not thought that the tenements and ghettoes surrounding it were of any particular note. Until now. Reports indicate that the violence established at the city’s heart has moved outwards. People are being reported missing in higher and higher numbers on a weekly basis. Travel to the district of Mashiko just outside Kousai, an area that has seen the most significant rise in missing persons, and put an end to this sudden expansion.
Repertoire: Your squad should consist of at least three qualified chuunin, jounin, or a combination thereof.
This thread should last no longer than 45 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.

Mission 70 (Completed)
Documentation: Local farmhands have come to Konoha begging for assistance with their diminishing livestock. Although pest control has not (nor ever should be) the job of shinobi, the nature of their disappearance has piqued the interest of village authorities. It seems that some of these locals, separated by several hundreds of miles, have been witness to ritualistic butchering of their cattle. Evidence should be considered from all sources before ruling these events out as simple roaming bandits or rogues. Travel first to a small village south, south-west of the village and gather what intelligence you can.
Repertoire: A fast and light team should be considered for this mission, of which there should be no more than four. Genin teams are allowed to take this mission.
Details: No fixed posting order. At 15 posts (total), a Leaf GM will enter your thread and provide further details on the mission in some way/shape/form. From then on, GM participation is set at random intervals. This thread should last no longer than 45 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.

Mission 71 (Completed)
Documentation: Various recent reports suggest that a potentially dangerous ring of fighting and gambling activity is on the move in Fire Country. While the events are infrequent and unpredictable, intelligence has revealed an event to be taking place outside of Fukou. These events are reported to be run by particularly sinister individuals, so use great caution while conducting an investigation of this event and its activities. Notes regarding the attendees, gambling activity, and details regarding the fights taking place should be assembled quickly and discreetly.
Repertoire: A group of up to three individuals will be needed to infiltrate and closely investigate the happenings of this fighting event. Genin will not be permitted to assume this task.
Details: No fixed posting order. At 10 posts (total) a Leaf GM will enter your thread to provide more details on the mission in some way/shape/form. From then on, GM participation is set at random intervals. This thread should last no longer than 40 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.

Mission 72 (Claimed)
Documentation: Following the failure of the assigned squad to secure a live specimen of the alleged Youma sighted around Konoha, it has become increasingly rare to spot these strange beasts close to the village. Not a few months ago, civilians from nearby villages were reporting up to four attacks per week but recently, such incidents have drastically shrunk in number. While it is plausible that the amount of attacks gradually and naturally decreased over time, there is something quite strange about the timing.

Careful analysis of the data indicated that the ‘beasts’ went calm after the operation aiming to capture them failed. Coincidences such as this one tend to raise question marks; were the attacks by the wild beasts a natural occurrence or was there someone behind it all?
Repertoire: In your assignment, you will have to succeed where your predecessors failed. In fact, we require you to do more. You are to capture not one but three of those wild beasts alive and bring them back to Konoha. Therefore squad members with skills suited for tracking and capture would be more appropriate.
Details:N/A

Mission 73 (Claimed)
Documentation: A few months ago, a delicate investigation was entrusted to a pair of shinobi. Their task was to trail a medical-nin suspected of smuggling corpses out from the morgue. Unfortunately, our trust in the competence of the assigned squad was misplaced and the medical-nin in question became more careful. This, however, did not stop us from conducting our own investigation. We were making some good progress until our target went MIA during what we would consider a relatively straightforward mission. We have reason to believe that this sudden disappearance was staged; the medical-nin was obviously becoming increasingly paranoid.
Repertoire: Your assignment is to find the runaway and deal with him accordingly. While we would rather have him brought back alive for questioning, you may employ lethal force if it becomes necessary. As such, a squad suited for tracking and capture would be ideal but not mandatory.
Details: N/A

Mission 74 (Closed)
Documentation: A few months ago, two Chuunin brought back the corpse of a Konoha-nin from a mission (http://www.narutorp.net/showthread.php?t=29516). In their report, they claimed that they were attacked by the deceased – who, coincidentally was one of the many shinobi thought to have been KIA in that region.

However, the various autopsies performed seemed to contradict the Chuunin’s statements: the date of the death was estimated to be around a month before the assault (in line with the date of the victim’s disappearance). Still, careful analysis of the cells indicated that that body had been tampered with (for lack of better word). Our medical experts have a vague idea on the nature of this tampering but require more information to be certain.
Repertoire: Because we have reasons to believe that you will most likely encounter several enemies during this mission, you will have to be better prepared when returning to that area. A full strength squad with at least one Jounin will be required for this mission. No Genin may undertake this assignment.
Details: No fixed posting order. At 10 posts (total) a Leaf GM will enter your thread to provide more details on the mission in some way/shape/form. From then on, GM participation is set at random intervals. This thread should last no longer than 40 posts (total). Any more and the mission may be considered failed.
