Personally, I really like the timeskip. It shows that, unlike the majority of other manga writers out there, Kishmoto is willing to have his characters progress and mature rather than keeping them looked in locked in a time bubble, so to speak, as well as proving that he at least has some idea where he wants the books to go and how far he wants to take them.

Whiny characters, both Sasuke and Naruto, way too whiny and irrational at times. Too many cool detailed characters dying to a 1D character like Sasuke:
Itachi, Danzo, Deidara, etc.

I dislike some of the sometimes poor animations.. I don't know, sometimes the artist gets lazy and you can tell. but that happens in a few anime/manga though.

The fact that the main characters always get a shiny and amazing form of their token abilities to fight stronger opponents, ala Rasengan (Kamehameha/Genki Dama) and Kyuubi (Super Saiyan) with Naruto (Goku). I understand that Kishimoto looks up to Toriyama, but I feel like I'm looking at Dragonball Z with a ninja skin.

Also, my love-hate relationship with Killer Bee. He can make me laugh and smile sometimes, but then I see the way he holds swords and...

I've always like Naruto, the character. I never got the hate for him. The only thing I dislike is how I know where everything is going. With Naruto as the main character, you'd think a lot more unpredicable crap would be happening. I think Kishimito could do a lot more with Naruto as the main character, because the kid a wild mess of intricate stories and adventures that don't need to be so linear.

Like the relationship with Jiraiya should have been explored a lot more. That would have been a lot more fun. That 2 year break just would've been cool for a lot of kids reading the manga to see a coming of age story, plus added with the anedoctes of a lecher, and shit - it would've been amazing.

Then! Sakura? What is with that. She comes off super lame, when she clearly isn't. She can punch walls into oblivion, bring folks to life and leave someone in a complete stupor with Genjutsu. None of these are emphasizes. And worst of all, there isn't any emotional depth that doesn't come off as romantic. Like, I really dug the darkness of the first "saga" with Haku. The way that was weaved, the meetings...shit was epic. Everything up to 200 was pretty magical.

Especially the Chuunin Exams.

I dont know, I'm being nostalgic here. Right now, I'm reading, and alot of it is pretty cool, but it doesn't hold weight to what was. All I'm hoping for is a big curveball. I want a big curveball. Someone big needs to die, something incredible needs to happen for me to get tugged back in. Kakashi dying, Tsunade dying - I think that would've done it. I would've hated that for a while, since I love both those characters...but yeah - that would've done it for the series.

But that didn't happen. Sooo, I'll settle with Killer Bee.

I hate that Sasuke actually went to Orochimaru's. I hate that Sasuke decided to destroy Konoha rather than to follow Itachi's will and protect it. I also hate that he decides it so quickly after the reader/viewer learns of the truth of the Uchiha massacre. It makes me angry that Kishimoto dangled Sasuke's redemption in a matter of an episode, just to snatch it away to make Sasuke an even lousier character than he's already become. T_T

I just hate Sasuke being such a goddamn emo, and the girls liking him when he's blatantly gay. I mean his first kiss was with Naruto, and he left the babes in the leaf to hang out with creepy snake man in a cave

I was also devastated when my favourite character, Jiraya, died. Just when I thought Naruto couldn't kick me in the nads anymore, Kakashi died. Thankfully he was brought back, so my second favourite character is at least still with us, but it's no replacement for those of us who enjoyed the adventures of Ero-sennin

I hate how Jirya copied jees from Dbz. When you first meet him he spins his hair in the same way and to the same music as jees does wit hthe ginyu force ._.

Completely agree with the Sasuke being emo. I just find it bland to fnd someone that low as Sasuke. Hell, I respect Orochimaru more than the little wimp.
