Physical Description:
Hana is short and delicate. She does not have a typical shinobi physique and would be more easily identified as a princess or noble lady. Possessing the type of skin and complexion well suited to make-up and beauty products, she has to endure hours of treatments as her mother believes that Kato woman should always look their best.

Her hair is more bushy that normal for her family, and no matter how much they try to stop it, an end or two always rises up in defiance. Hana tends to dye her hair green in order to differ from her sister who shares her natural deep crimson red pigments. Crimson coloring is a common theme in the family, as even there pupils has a deep red tint to them.

Biography:
This story begins with an understanding of the Kato family; wealthy, politically strong and one of the oldest shinobi families within Konohagakure. Unlike other well-known shinobi families the Kato family is not particularly talented; they have no special techniques, no bloodlines, they have never created any innovative weapons or rituals nor do they possess any ancient artifacts. The Kato have gained all its riches and power through marriage and trade agreements. You may wonder how this is possible and many do, but the Kato have a secret known only to the heads of all the prominent clans and families in Konoha.

Their genes are fully submissive, meaning that during reproduction their offspring take 100% of the genes of their partners. Thus the women of the Kato are traded off to other families by marriage in exchange for wealth, alliances and other trade agreements. This prized resource of the Kato is well sort after by other families and clans in order to reduce the defects of inbreeding which are common to them.

Kato Hana is one such flower of the clan; she is the second daughter of the main house of the Kato family. She has an elder brother, Minoru, who is to be the next leader of the Kato families and an elder sister, Mio, who is the prized princess of the houses and has received many marriage proposals. Hana on the other hand receives no mention, she plays a very submissive role in the family and is always present to support and cheer for her siblings. She has never drawn much attention to herself and has always been taught to stand behind and give her place for theirs if needed.

Hana’s life through the academy was difficult at first. She was often abused and taken advantage of by the other students, and was too kind and naïve to have noticed it. The instructors would scold her and she would promise to try and change, but within a week it would happen again. As a student she was diligent, she never stood out but studied hard and always helped those who were struggling. Physical activities were her weakest aspects and she barely managed to keep the average grade, but the boys she helped would come back for her and carry her along with them. Hana built lasting friendships and bonds with them, and soon grew into a fine young kunoichi they admired and respected.

Hana planned to define herself as a covert operations shinobi like her sister and delved into transformation and sabotage techniques. One of the senior instructors noticed her relationships with her classmates and the direction her training was leading her. Deciding to intervene he invited her to attend private lessons with him in the afternoons. There he taught her chakra manipulation with the goal of transferring chakra to objects and her allies, and advised her to instead pursue a role as a supportive shinobi instead. Hana initially never considered it a possibility as she thought only medical specialists could take that role, but it slowly grew on her.

It was during the hybrid invasion that Hana’s true calling was realized. The academy students and elderly were being evacuated to a safe hold at the foot of the mountain by two chuunin instructors when they were attacked. Hana and the older students were tasked to lead the group while the instructors fended off the three beast men. Outnumbered, the beasts wore them down until two of the boys turned back to provide fire support. Just as the tide began to turn the boys chakra waned. 90% had been evacuated at this point and Hana knew she was no longer needed at the front of the procession. She quickly ran to the rear grabbing the katon-wielding boys by the hand and channeling her chakra to them, together they bought enough time for the last of the procession to enter the bunker and seal themselves safely inside.

In the aftermath of the invasion all the senior student were honored for their brave assistance. Hana had become fully committed to her new destiny and began practicing with her class mates. Together they grew strong and developed into fine genin within Konohagakure. Now it is time for them to settle as a team and take on the missions that await them.

Description: Cutter-class Naval Warship.

The Saimiri is a medium-sized watercraft designed for speed rather than capacity, with the rigging allowing it to me manned by a small crew (maximum capacity: 15, cabin capacity: 5; minimum crew requirement: 3).

She is comprised of a 10m hull with a jib, 2 staysails, a gaff mainsail and a gaff aft. The sails are a darkened oak colour with shades of black and no insignia, and the hull is of a sandy oaken wood. The hull itself has an intricate design which affords it no carrying capacity other than the cabin lodgings at the rear, but instead allowing it to cut into the ocean and pass water through itls channels like a plough. This specialized design grants increased speed and maneuverability. The cabins are made up 2 rooms, a small toilet and a narrow hallway. The larger of the two rooms has 2 double bunk beds, with 3 drawers each below the lower bunk for storage. The other room has a single bed with similar storage below it, as well as a desk and chair, next to a fixed chest. The hallway has small cupboard and counter for food preparation. At the four corners of the lower deck are small carved wooden statues of squirrel monkeys playing, used for fastening stowage and the vessel to port. The upper deck houses the wheel and aft mast.

The Saimiri is able to outspeed its larger cousins in the Corvette and Frigate class, and thus has no use for cannons. She is instead equipped with more utilitarian armaments and equipment as below:

4 x Eku (fastened on the interior of the hull and deck on either side of the vessel. They serve as oars as well as pole weapons)
1 x Saimiri’s Soul [Large Axe] (the hilt is fashioned with etchings of playful squirrel monkeys, and it is mounted at the front of the wheel of the ship with it’s handle facing the captain.)

Abilities:
- Due to the seals inscribed in the rigging, arbalest and wheel of the vessel, it can be remotely piloted from up to 2000m away. This requires the navigator to hold the Saru handseal and maintain a clear line of sight while using up a Stage 4 usage every post control is maintained.
- On command Saimiri’s Soul can be instantly teleported back to its normal position on the ship (in a type of reverse summoning cloud). If it moves beyond 250m away from the ship, this ability is automatically triggered.
- Saimiri the Playful Monkey as Level 10 Speed.

With all the new Shichou techniques being focused on "special" clothing, i wanted something more mundane for simple camouflage work.

Description: The classics never die, as is true of fashion. Drawing on skills taught by the first ever Shichou Masters (link). The user is able to fashion materials out of string and needles, and with the use his of his chakra is able to create simple garments quickly. With more experience comes more precision, and quick alterations are made possible. Turning a bow-tie to a neck tie, or adding sleeves to a waistcoat, or flipping a scarf into a cap as one ducks into a crowd.

Description: Chiyute no Jutsu – Healing Hands Technique is taught to those who wish to heal the living, but a different manner of study is needed to reconstruct the dead. The user concentrates chakra into his hands, creating a ball of purple glowing chakra. When directed over a corpse or parts there of, this chakra can reconstruct dead tissue, reattach severed limbs as well as reverse the effects of decay. Notably the parts to do have to have belonged to the same person/corpse. The reconstructed corpse/flesh is never truly "alive" again, and cannot be used for Shibito Zoukiishoku - Corpse Organ Transplant, but with the technique it is preserved and can be saved for other uses. The effects of the reconstruction takes a full post to complete.
Base effect capabilities: Restore flesh, close shallow wounds or re-attach a single appendage.
Stage +1: Restore organs, close deep wounds or re-attach multiple appendages.
Stage +2: Can restore a corpse from scattered fragments and pieces.
