Default Oak's Items

Name: One Shot
Weapon Cost: 5
Weapon Owner:
Description: In length and thickness, the One Shot appears to be nothing more than a baton or a generic 'magician's wand.' Most owners chose to decorate their weapon to match some sort of role—crude, non-functional flutes have even been fashioned. With only a small opening at one end, the hollow tube can be disguised as near anything. Appearances are meant to be deceiving.

A crossbow of sorts, the title of this deadly weapon is not misleading in the least. One shot is all that is afforded to the wielder before the lengthy—and often painful process of reloading must occur. In exchange for this limited usage the user gains a powerful, stealthy weapon. A dense, strong spring rests under the small platform the bolt fixes into, latching the projectile into place until a quick pulse of chakra releases the spring's power. Even a non-shinobi can fire it; the manual method is to twist the top and bottom of the tube in different directions.

In the hands of those unskilled in archery, the One Shot doesn't have any more accuracy than a thrown item would have. Its reach is limited to 85 meters, but those who have trained in a projectile stile can apply their skill to this item.

The empty weapon is loaded by first feeding a bolt in, point up, and then pressing it down and twisting until a soft, nearly inaudible click indicates that it's been secured into the platform above the spring. The point is then pressed—hard—into a solid surface—preferably a boulder or something equally as impenetrable and static—until the slightly louder click of the spring being fixed into position resonates. After this process is done, there should be no sign of the bolt's tip. If there is, then there is the immediate danger of a misfire.

Poison: Reversal
Cost:
7
This quick working concoction can prove lethal if used correctly in a fight. The post after the opponent receives any size dose of this poison through a break in the skin there is no change; the corrupted blood has not yet made it to the brain. During the second post the effect of the brew becomes apparent; the victim begins to move as if inebriated due to their balance being disrupted. By the third post any chance they had of moving swiftly disappears; the sense of balance is completely destroyed. The fourth and fifth posts prove to be most lethal, however. Even standing is rendered nigh impossible; up and down are constantly switched and tilted like Heaven and Earth Reversal on steroids. The sixth posts after the opponent is hit all effects disappear, often leaving the person who had suffered through them disoriented and nauseous.

Poison: Afterimages
Cost:
5
As the name implies, this poison acts upon the victim's sight. During the first post nothing much happens; the afflicted is aware of a slight fuzz around all objects that the can see. In the second and third post a transparent, colored trail is left behind anything that moves in their vision, gradually becoming more and more opaque until the fourth post leaves solid color smears across the victim's sight. By the end of the fifth post all effects have faded.

Needle Katana
Cost:
7
This weapon resembles a normal katana exactly unless put under intense scrutiny. One would find only after close examination that the sharp side of the sword is actually at two points—a needle thin grove has been forged into the blade. While not causing any more damage on its own, the gap acts as a channel for any liquid that may be inserted into the katana's hollow hilt. Any poison or the like that's being stored in the small area only travels down the weapon's edge when the end of the handle is pressed in to force it out. This keeps anything from being wasted, and allows the katana to be used without an additional dose of lethality.

Default [Unique] - H.E.L.P.

Name: Hand and foot Emergency Launch Pad
Owner: Yamada Tekisui
Cost: 5
Description: Developed for those shinobi who are one or two (or seven or nine) steps behind their peers, H.E.L.P. is designed to help you get the upper hand! Taking only the barest applications of chakra to either your hands or feet, the second, transparent skin can give you that extra oomph you need to get ahead. If pushing off of a solid surface, H.E.L.P. can provide a launch up to five feet in the opposite direction. The launch pad itself isn't affected at all, ensuring that the customer can use their little friends from even the back of a sleeping beastie without rousing the monster. Our lifetime guarantee ensures that even when torn, bloodied, or burnt, H.E.L.P. always works!

Disclaimer: We cannot be held responsible for any cooldown the item has restricting its use to only one jump/launch per post; it has been put into place to prevent unfair spamming and the creator can't seem to get rid of it.
